Talley Takeover (August 16)
The University Activities Board is hosting a takeover of Talley Student Union. Come to enjoy some desserts, inflatables, arcade games, and karaoke while leaving with make and takes and some new artwork.
New Student Convocation (August 17)
New Student Convocation is the opportunity for first-year students to kick off the academic year with 5,000 of your fellow classmates, faculty, and staff while hearing from the Chancellor and the Student Body President and participating in the Class of 2029 photo!
RecFest (August 17)
Enjoy an evening of fun with Wellness and Recreation to kick off the year with RecFest, an interactive event offering programming, club sports demonstrations, food, giveaways and entertainment. Bring your friends and be part of one of the largest events on campus!
Residence Hall Community Meetings (August 18 and August 19)
Residence hall community meetings allow residents to meet residence hall staff, connect, learn about their residence hall, and review community-specific information. The location of the meetings varies within your residence hall; see a resident advisor during move-in for your meeting location.
Panhellenic Ice Cream Social (August 20)
Join the Panhellenic Association and the sororities to enjoy some Howling Cow ice cream, learn more about sorority recruitment taking place over Labor Day Weekend, and meet members of current sororities in this social outdoor program to begin the semester!
IFC Formal Recruitment Kick-Off (August 21)
Join us for the Interfraternity Council (IFC) Kick-Off Event — your introduction to fraternity life! Whether you’re interested in joining a chapter or just want to learn more about what IFC is all about, this is the place to be. Required if you are planning on going through the Formal Recruitment Process
Moonlight Howl and Run (August 21)
The Moonlight Howl and Run is the perfect way to get to know campus—actively. This 1.3-mile fun run kicks off at 9 PM on Thursday, August 21 starting at the Belltower and ending on Stanford Commons with a party complete with music and snacks. Register now to be one of the first 2,000 participants and score an official Moonlight Howl and Run shirt!
Student Involvement Fair (August 22)
Looking to get involved on campus? Don’t miss the Student Involvement Fair — your one-stop event to meet over 300 student organizations! Whether you’re interested in leadership, service, culture, academics, or just making new friends, there’s a place for you here. Come explore, engage, and find your Pack!
Packapalooza™ (August 23)
Packapalooza™ is an all-day block party and street festival adding to Wolfpack Welcome Weeks at the start of the academic year. We will have everything it takes to celebrate in NC State style, including great music, activities throughout the day, and fun entertainment for the whole family. Previous year’s events have had over 85,000 attendees with over 300 vendor booths, and over 40 sponsoring organizations.
Respect the Pack (August 25)
Respect the Pack, hosted by Student Government, is an annual event exploring our shared commitment to equity and inclusion on campus. This year’s event offers engaging presentations that detail the unique aspects of our students and campus. Join us to learn about everything NC State has to offer and help us reaffirm our commitment to your success!
College Connections (August 26)
This is your opportunity to continue building relationships with the students, faculty, and staff within your college! As your new academic home, you’ll want to begin making connections early, so come out to your College Connections and help NC State start to feel like home.
Panhellenic Recruitment Kick-Off (August 27)
Kickoff for Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment that features over 700+ women learning about how the sorority recruitment process works, logistics for the weekend, and for the students to meet their Recruitment Counselors.
NC State Football Game vs. ECU (August 28)
Join 56,000 NC State fans to celebrate the start of the football season in Carter-Finley Stadium as the Wolfpack hosts East Carolina University on a Thursday night under the lights! Go Pack!
