Help Us Welcome Students!
Campus Departments, Academic Colleges, and Student Organizations are invited to submit events and participate in this fall semester’s 2024 Wolfpack Welcome Weeks. These weeks will occur from Thursday, August 14, 2025, through Thursday, August 28, 2025. See important dates, considerations when planning events, and the submission link below. If you have any questions, please email new-students@ncsu.edu.
Event Submission Timeline
- May 30: Campus Partner Event submissions are due
- Note for student organizations: We realize many student organizations do not meet after the semester. Therefore, student organizations may submit until August 11. However, they are encouraged to do so as early as possible.
- June 11 – June 19: Event schedule published to web & mobile guide; NSP/Student Centers works with event planners of in-person events to confirm details
- June 20: Full schedule live
Campus Partner Resources
General Guidelines
- All events must be sponsored by a registered student organization and/or university department/office.
- All events must be held on campus.
- Events should avoid overlapping with Signature Events.
- Colleges interested in hosting welcome events for incoming first-year or transfer students are encouraged to do so.
Preparing For Your Event
Reserve Your Event Space
- Filling out the registration form for an event does not reserve space for your event and you must contact the appropriate entities for space reservations.
- Need help reserving space for your event? Check out this helpful information: https://studentcenters.ncsu.edu/events/.
Submit Your Event Form
- Complete the submission form by the appointed deadline of May 30th, 2025.
- Email NSP at new-students@ncsu.edu with any changes to your event or any questions you have.
Await Confirmation
- Once your event is reviewed by NSP, it will be slated for the WWW schedule. If there is any missing information or conflicts, you will be contacted via email.
- Additionally, you will receive information including WWW logos, and information to be featured on social media.
Marketing Your Event
- When creating promotional materials for your event, add a WWW logo when possible
- View the NC State Brand Guidelines from University Communications (the Copy Guidelines, Visual Identity, and Assets sections may be most helpful) as you are creating your promotional materials
- Review your event posting on the mobile guide and website schedules, which will be available in July at https://newstudents.dasa.ncsu.edu/wolfpackwelcomeweek/.
During Your Event
- Email New Student Programs at new-students@ncsu.edu with last-minute event changes and we will update the mobile schedule and push out announcements as needed.
- Use the hashtag #NCStateWWW and tag @ncstatensp on Twitter and Instagram as you post.
- Take attendance or estimate the number of students at your event to later share with NSP.
