Terms to Know

At NC State, academic advising is an intentional process designed to support students as they develop and pursue educational, career, and personal goals. As part of this process, academic advisors will provide advising around course selection before each academic term enrollment period.

The academic advisor who assist you with your first semester registration may or may not be your ongoing assigned advisor. Regardless, the advising team in your college or program will provide you with advising while you are in transition as a new student.

Holds on your account may prevent you from enrolling in the upcoming term. An advising hold is placed on your account until you have completed academic advising. To view your holds, navigate to MyPack Portal > Student Homepage > Tasks & Holds tile.

Use the Class Search Tool to view upcoming class schedules. Search by class subject, number, or days and times each section meets in order to find what best meets your needs.

The course catalog lists every course offered during your time at NC State. Use this tool to view course descriptions and credit information.

  1. Sign in to My AP using your College Board username and password.
  2. Go to My AP Profile and select “Score Send.”
  3. Type in North Carolina State University. When it appears on the list, select it and hit save.
