Transfer Spring Advising and Course Registration

At NC State, course registration for transfer students is completed using the online MyPack Portal system, and can only be completed after consultation with an academic advisor.

Click on your academic program below and follow the instructions to complete your advising and course registration for Spring 2019. 

  • After speaking with an advisor, students may then register for classes using the MyPack Portal System. MyPack Portal can be reached from the following website: http://mypack.ncsu.edu and directions for using the MyPack Portal can be located below.
  • Course sections and available seat listings are found using the Enrollment section within the portal or through the online Schedule of Courses (select the “2019 Spring Term”).
  • Click here for step-by-step directions for enrolling in classes using MyPack Portal. We also recommend watching this video that guides you through using MyPack Portal for course registration and other important campus functions. Additionally, you can utilize the Pack Planner to assist in planning your degree by watching this video tutorial.

Students should contact the appropriate academic advisor for their major regarding advising and course registration for Spring 2019.  Depending on advisor/student availability, advising may be done in person, via e-mail, or via phone. Those arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Please be aware that due to Winter Break, advisors will not be available between December 24-January 1, and some advisors might be unavailable as early December 19, so please do not delay.

No. Students will be contacted by the Academic Advising Team prior to Transfer Orientation. Students should expect to hear from the advising team shortly after submitting their Advanced Enrollment Deposit. The students will be provided details regarding course registration and other transition topics.

2. Should students register for courses before attending Transfer Orientation?

Yes. Students will participate in an online registration module before Transfer Orientation during which they will register for classes.

3. Who should students contact in their college with advising and course registration questions?

Students should wait to hear from the advising team. After that, the student can work with the advising team to answer any questions that still persist.

College of Natural Resources

For new students in the College of Natural Resources, follow the instructions below to ensure a smooth advising and course registration process. A student’s college/department will communicate with them prior to Spring Orientation, so students should be sure to check the email they have on file with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions periodically for any additional information.
