Blaise Bolemon, a senior from Athens, Georgia majoring in Graphic Design, was recognized at the 2016 Southern Regional Orientation Workshop at East Carolina University with the Region VI Outstanding Undergraduate Student Leader Award. An undergraduate student in the region is honored each year by the Association of Orientation Transition and Retention (NODA) to “give special recognition to students for their creativity, energy, enthusiasm and outstanding abilities, which are the backbone of successful and dynamic orientation programs”.
Blaise has served in a number of student leadership roles in New Student Programs throughout his time at NC State, including 2013 Orientation Leader, 2014 Student Coordinator, and Undergraduate Intern. In addition to mentoring new students and student leaders, he has made significant contributions to NSP’s communication efforts by combining his passion for design and student affairs. Blaise’s work in New Student Programs will have lasting impacts on the NC State student experience and truly exemplifies what it means to Think and Do.
After graduating in May 2016, Blaise will attend graduate school at the University of Georgia to pursue a masters degree in College Student Affairs Administration.
