Email Communication

New Student Programs (NSP) will communicate with new students by email from the time they confirm their enrollment through their first semesters at the university. Below you will find an archive of emails sent to incoming students based on their entry semester and type (first-year or transfer).

This list only reflects emails that NSP has sent to all new students, and is not a comprehensive list of all emails you will receive from NC State. It does not include emails sent to you by other departments or by your academic college or advisor. It also doesn’t include confirmation or reminder emails for specific programs and events that require registration (i.e. Orientation, Summer Start, 1887 Fellows, etc.).

Checking Your Email:
As a student, you should check your email daily because it’s the primary way NC State will communicate with you. Initially, you will be sent emails to both your personal email on file with Undergraduate Admissions and your NC State email address. Once your first semester begins, you should only receive emails to your NC State email address.

  • If you need to update your personal email on file with Undergraduate Admissions, you can do so in your wolfPAW account. This is especially important if your email is from your high school or another college/university and may expire.
  • To use your NC State email address, follow the instructions on the New Student Checklist under the “Access Your NC State Email Account” dropdown.
